There will be one midterm exam, scheduled during the usual class time, on Thursday, November 4. Midterm exams cannot be rescheduled. If you miss the midterm exam for a legitimate (properly documented) reason, its weight will be added to the weight of the final exam in the computation of your course grade.
The final exam is scheduled by the Faculty of Science. Once the schedule has been determined, you can find the date/time and location in uoZone (under Applications, select My Exam Schedule). Further information and procedures for final examinations in the Faculty of Science can be found here.
Exams will be conducted using Zoom. See here for details. All exams are closed-book. Calculators are not allowed, nor are they needed. Some students may be contacted after the midterm or final exam to arrange a one-on-one Zoom meeting with the professor to explain their answers. In this case, answers given during the meeting will be taken into account when determining the grade on the test.
